April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. She is among only a handful of female players of beach volleyball who be able to do so. Alix-Klineman will compete with April Ross Tokyo for her third gold medal in the next few days. Ross wants to achieve more than her first Olympic medal. And at the age of 39, it could be her last opportunity to do so. Her confidence is high but she is not sure. Ross declared on NBC Boston: "If we do our best and even If we play our best I'm sure we'll be able to win gold." Also, it's the result of luck. Ross born August 22, 1982, at Costa Mesa California. She resided in the area with her family. Ross went on to play in numerous sports in Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball as well as running and track. She clearly was the top player in indoor volleyball. During her high school career she played middle blocker outside hitter and setter on the volleyball court, according to her college bio. The award was presented to her as the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999, for her performance. In addition, she was awarded the 1999 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may have started working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned volleyball player before they came together. She actually won numerous major events in the past with two different partners. one of which is the volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy was her partner during six years from 2007 until 2013. Also, she coached Klineman and herself. Along together with Kessy Ross was awarded an Olympic Title in 2009, while racing in the international circuit. This duo went into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the legend team who took home the Olympic gold medal in 2012 in London, took each other to take home the gold. Ross Walsh was Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's departure. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Ross started her college time with the Trojans at USC in graduation from high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross made her debut on the beach, and then became a pro. And her run at USC was a memorable one. In 2000, as a freshman the Trojans' performance earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. Also, she was a key player to help the Trojans reach their way to the Final Four. Her personal life was tense after a devastating loss in her sophomore, but was still capable of achieving the All-American distinction. Through her final two seasons with the Trojans she was instrumental in helping them achieve consecutive championships. In her own way, she cemented her place as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This prize was awarded to the top female college volleyball players in the country. Ross was who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top of the beach volleyball ladder. In 2001 when Ross was a sophomore studying at USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. Ross is still awed by her parents who passed away. Margie is a beach lover and in daily life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
