Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting profession after she enrolled at Stanford University. The first time she was recognized for her work, it was with parts in movies like Pleasantville and Election however it was her performance as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a significant turning point in her professional career.
