Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy SURESH (born 17th October, 1992) is an acclaimed Indian actor. Keerthy appears in Tamil films as well as Telugu films and also in a few of Malayalam. She received the National Film Award's Best Actress award for portraying Savitri the character in the Telugu Film Mahanati (2018). The other awards she received comprise the three SIIMA Awards, a Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy Kumar Suresh is actress Menaka G. Suresh's daughter. Her early career was as a children's actress. After completing her studies in the field of Fashion Design, she re-entered acting. She had her first lead performance in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy signed her first Tamil projects in the year 2015. She then began to accept projects outside of Malayalam. Although the movie did poorly in the theaters the film she made her debut in was A. A. Vijay's romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005) that she was in opposite Vikramprabhu. A busy schedule during 2015 meant that she had choose to stay out of movies that she was developing, like Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye and Deekay's Kavalai Vendam, to be able to accommodate bigger projects. The result was that she was involved in two projects in collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan in quick succession, Rajini Murugan and Remo, while also playing the lead part on Prabhu Solomon's Thodari and Dhanush.Her Telugu debut was planned to release in Ainaa Ishtam Nuvvu. The film has been delayed since 2015 and reports suggest it would be released in September in 2020 under the new name Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), with Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy was the lead actress alongside Vijay on screen in Bairavaa by Bharathan that premiered on the 17th of January, 2017.
